First, you have to register or sign up for an account on glogger. After you have signed up, you can upload to your glog in a few ways.

From a Camera Phone
Without Glogger Program
  • Email the images or videos to i.yourusername-yourpassword@glogger.eyetap.org. For example if your username is "jane" and your password is "sunny", then you would email your content to "i.jane-sunny@glogger.eyetap.org"
  • Allow some time for it to post.
With Glogger Program
  • Sign in to glogger program with your glogger.eyetap.org user name and password.

How do I broadcast a live glogger feed into my social netorking site (friendster, myspace or facebook) or blogging site? They only allow plain jane html you know!

Click the [broadcast feed] button above your content feed grid. You copy the html code that is generated, and paste it into the social networking site's profile (myspace, hi5, friendster, etc) that you would like to broadcast to. Now you can update pictures from your cameraphone to your social networking site, live!

Here are some examples of feeds set up from Daftcyborg's Glog that are broadcasting to all his sites:

*Note from Daftcyborg: If anybody from glogger is on these social networks, just add me and let me know! Because any friend of glogger is a friend of mine!

How do I broadcast a live feed of Glogger pictures, like the one below, into my homepage?

Follow these simple steps:

  • Copy and paste the text below into your javascript enabled webpage. Remember to substitute YOURUSERNAME with your glogger username and also select the number of images you want to display in the variable numImages.
  • By doing so, you can embed your glogger feed into any html (that allows javascript) page, here's some examples: James's Personal Webpage or iGargoyle blog

How do I make panoramic images with Video Orbits?

1) Using a Mobile Phone:

Mobile Glogger's Video Orbits function let's you take panoramic images with your camera phone like the image below.

Here are the easy steps:
  • Click "Start Orbits"
  • Pan or sweep the camera phone across the scene by rotating or orbiting about a point. The camera phone must not move from it's point, so do not walk or move the camera from it's point of rotation. Think of yourself as a "human tripod". You can simply do this by, placing the camera phone relatively closely to your head and allow the camera to follow where you are naturally looking.
  • When you are done, click "Stop Orbits"
  • Allow the server to take some time to composite your set of scene images together into a panorama.

2. Using a Camera and PC:

  • Pan or sweep the camera across the scene by rotating or orbiting about a point. As you pan your camera, periodically snap photos. The camera phone must not move from it's point, so do not walk or move the camera from it's point of rotation. Think of yourself as a "human tripod". You can simply do this by standing still, placing the camera phone relatively closely to your head and allow the camera to follow where you are naturally looking. Remember to shut off any auto-gain, because varying brightness levels in your images will have a negative outcome from video orbits
  • Once you are done, upload your sequence of images to the experimental upload page
  • Click the submit button and you will have your consolidated image! Here is an example.
